Joe Wicks has been on the cookbook scene for a couple of years now. His quick, easy and healthy recipes are a godsend when you get home tired from work, and having used all his previous three Lean in 15 books, I couldn’t wait to see what he had in store.
The book (priced at £7.99 on Amazon) is a collection of Joe’s favourites and crowd-pleasers, such as Tandoori Chicken Thighs and Chapattis and Spanish Saussie, all of which I can confirm are delicious.
Alongside being beautifully photographed, the recipes are divided into different sections- reduced carb, post workout, on the side, starters and snacks and smoothies and sweet treats- which help with knowing when to eat what to get the best out of your diet.
I do find with Joe Wicks recipes that you sometimes need to take the ingredients list with a pinch of salt as there always seems to be a really long list. If you don’t want to be spending £100 in the supermarket every week, look through what is an essential and what is there to just manipulate the flavour. Sure, it might not taste quite as nice, but when you notice the difference in price you’ll thank me.
So, conclusions? This book is great for quick dinner time inspiration. I find the recipes reasonably easy to manipulate if you have any fussy eaters amongst you, or just fancy something a bit different. It’s also really cheap on Amazon for what you get- over 100 easy dinner time recipes for £7.99- bargain!
