Review: Tier Nottingham

On Saturday I had the pleasure of trying out one of Nottingham’s newest bars, Tier. Based on Pelham Street (just opposite the Bodega), you’ll find a menu full of cheese toasties and cocktails with a great happy hour deal (£4 between 5pm and 9pm).

You’ll be lucky to get a table, as there were only a few still available when I went at 5.30pm and, although extremely well laid out, it is quite small. The interior is really modern and funky, fitting in with the hipster vibe a lot of bars and restaurants in Nottingham, and particularly Hockley, have adapted.

I ordered a pulled pork cheese toastie which came on delicious and fresh sourdough bread within a few minutes. The toastie cost around £6.50. Between two of us we also ordered some curly fries. At £2.50 there was more than enough for us! The food was excellent and I would definitely return.

I also ordered a cosmo to wash down my meal, which at £4 I can’t grumble. It was tasty, but it was very sweet with not a lot of alcohol! Aside from this, I had a great time and for a cheap night out I would 100% recommend. image1 (2)
