Christmas gift guide

It’s that time of year again folks! The nights are drawing in and, if you’re organised like me all your presents are wrapped and sent to the North Pole. If you’re still looking for present ideas, however, here’s my top ten gifts for the season:

1. Godvia six piece truffle box (£12.00)

Pure decadence in a box, the Godvia six piece truffle box is an assortment of tender truffles that are lovingly enrobed in white, milk or dark chocolate and topped off with layers of delicious toppings. They are all a real indulgent delight for chocolate lovers… you’d better wrap these ones up quick

2. VonShef cast iron casserole dish (£32.99)

This large and beautifully finished 4.5l capacity casserole dish is perfect for foodies. Made from strong cast iron, the dish has superior heat conductivity and heat retention. It also has a non-stick red enamel coated exterior and white enamel interior which is stain and odour resistant- perfect for making wintery casseroles to warm you up.

3. Barbantia cookie jar (£15.95)

This stackable storage jar looks perfect on my kitchen sideboard and is perfect for storing freshly baked goods and biscuits. It would make a great gift for the avid baker in your life. It comes with a soft sealing lid, making it both fun and functional- what’s not to love?

4. Oxo cooking products (varying prices)

I included OXO in last years gift guide, and I will include them again! OXO have a range of great baking and kitchen goodies. I love the stainless steel mixing bowl which is perfect for whipping up delicious treats (£16) and the silicone spatula (£5-£7)

5. Elizabeth Shaw chocolates (£3.99)

These a great as a little extra to any gift. I love the orange crisp chocolates which are all individually wrapped. And at just £3.99 you won’t be breaking the bank either- it will look like you’ve spent much more!

6. Olverum Bath Oil (£26.00 for 125 ml- enough for 25 baths)

Looking for something to give whoever is painstakingly cooking your Christmas dinner? Look no further than Olverum Bath Oil. An Olverum bath is a very effective way to naturally relieve  stress and help you achieve a great nights’ sleep. It is also a great way to ease aching or sore muscles (such a treat after working hard in the kitchen!) and is the perfect soothing antidote to a cold or flu. All with a gorgeously aromatic, unisex scent.

7. Aldi Veuve Monsigny Champagne Brut (single bottle 75cl £9.99/ case of 6 £59.94)

Available in stores and online now at

Every Christmas should be celebrated with an award winning Champagne. Aldi’s Veuve Monsigny Champagne Brut, delivers a gorgeous bouquet of ripe apples, floral hints and soft red fruits and boasts an aroma of baked apple and brioche (at a snip of the price of other retailers!)

8. Lily O’Brien luxury chocolate gift bag (£11.00)

Indulge your friends and family this festive season with this chocolate gift bag from Lily O’Brien. It’s even beautifully presented so you don’t even have to wrap it! It includes assorted chocolate treats and recipes including; Peppermint Crunch Luxury Snaking Bag, Dulce de Leche marbled bar, Creamy Caramels Sharing pouch (my personal favourite!) and Ultimate Chocolate Gift collection. This certainly ticks all the right boxes for luxury chocolate gifting!

9. Home Bargains Candy Canes

These are great as stocking fillers for young and old alike. The pack comes with 12 candy canes, so it really is a cheap and cheerful present.

10. Giesen Estate Sauvigon Blanc (available for £8.00 from good supermarkets)

I’m a newly turned white wine convert, and the Giesen Estate Sauvigon Blanc has to be a newly formed favourite of mine. With its refreshing gooseberry and citrus flavours, Giesen Estate Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc showcases Marlborough’s distinctive regional characteristics. Generous, smooth, relaxing, and above all delicious- a guaranteed crowd pleaser!
