For the past month I’ve had a bit of a thing for burritos, just ask anyone I know. So, imagine my delight when I heard there was a new Mexican restaurant opening in Nottingham city centre. Even better, I was invited to go along to their opening… FREE BURRITOS! Hurrah!
Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to stay in to eat as I’ve got loads of work to do back at the office, but I can’t wait to go back and try some of the other things on their menu.
The restaurant is located on Clumber Street just opposite Lush, and when I arrived there was a queue out of the door- good first sign.
I chose a large burrito with the carnitas and Mexican rice which was a soft flour tortilla, filled with tasty pulled pork, flavoursome rice, peppers and onions, beans, salsa and cheese and sour cream. My wrap was literally bursting at the seams. It’s all freshly prepared in front of you at the bar and you can pick and chose which ingredients you want to add to your lunch.
The actual burrito delivered so much more than I was expecting. Flavoursome and juicy there was nothing that was lacking, and the size was just right. At £5 for a medium burrito it is a similar price to competitors Bar Burrito who are located on Queen’s Street just up from the Brian Clough Statue, but I have to say my Tortilla burrito was much tastier… sorry Bar Burrito!
If you missed out on the free Burritos today the store are also giving away 1,000 free burritos tomorrow (Wednesday 28th October) at lunchtime.
